Pet Parade Movie

Very shaky camera movement (recorded with a Flip Video while walking).  Best to watch it small size.

Patriotic Pooch

For this I got a white poodle!  Here she is at the Bend Pet Parade.  All red, white and blue.  She was a star.  Will and I walked her on the left side of the route and people applauded and oo'ed and awe'd.  Little kids said stuff like, "Look at the pretty doggy," and "can I pet her?"  Many people took pictures of her.  She was very calm and seemed quite happy to be among all those dogs and people and thinking that she was the "center of attention."

It took me about four hours, total, to color her with Top Performance Hair Dye Gel (made just for pets), rinse it, dry her off with towel and sun, shave in the stripes and stars, and brush out her top knot.  We'll keep her colorful the rest of today and then I'll finish her summer cut tomorrow morning.

She's all red, white, and poodle.

Big Girl

It's just a half a week before the pup's first birthday.  She got very matted in March and I've trimmed her.  We had many adventures over winter.  I've included before and after pictures of her.  I'm not a professional, but she doesn't look too terribly awful -- just wild and punk like her pack leader.  I write about her more on Facebook.  The trim of her super-matted coat took me three hours with tiny sheers.  My clippers couldn't come close to cutting through her thick mats.

Birdy Tweets

I've just set up a Twitter account for the pup. Her name is "KillerPoodle." The reason? She has a very high prey drive! She kills any sock she picks up in the bedroom and always wants to chase deer and squirrels.

She's now 6 1/2 months old, 30 lbs. and 21 inches at the shoulder. With luck, she won't get much taller. She shredded several Christmas cards last month by standing up tall and taking stuff piled on the counter bar between the kitchen and dining room.
